The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has rejected the pre-arrest bail applications of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Omar Ayub, in connection with the November 26 protest, Sangjani Jalsa case, and eight other cases.
The court also denied bail applications of Zartaj Gul in seven separate cases and of Shibli Faraz and Alia Hamza in over five cases each. Furthermore, applications filed by the accused seeking exemption from personal attendance were also rejected.
The cases against the PTI leaders are registered across more than five police stations, reflecting the widespread legal challenges facing the party in multiple jurisdictions. The court had previously reserved its decision regarding exemptions from attendance before delivering its verdict.
These developments underscore the intensifying legal proceedings against PTI leadership amid ongoing political tensions in the country.
