FIA Takes Action Against 19 Officers for Corruption and Negligence

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has completed departmental action against 19 officers and officials involved in corruption, abuse of power, and negligence, issuing various punishments.

The officials dismissed from service include Inspector Maria Niaz, Sub-Inspector Kashif Riaz Awan, Sub-Inspector Tassaduq Hussain, Ahmed Waqar, Constable Asif Allah Ditta, and Technical Assistant Inayatullah.

During the disciplinary process, Inspector Muhammad Arsalan Masood Khan and Inspector Idrees Khan were demoted in pay scale, while Sub-Inspector Sohail Ahmed was barred from promotion for one year due to negligence in official duties.

Furthermore, Sub-Inspectors Shazma Shabbir, Shabana Shamsher, Umar Farooq, and ASI Farhan were stopped from receiving salary increments. Similarly, Constables Muhammad Shakir, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Zahid Iqbal, Mudassar Saeed, and Adeel Ahmed had their increments frozen.

Additionally, Technical Assistant Ghulam Khan received a warning for failing to implement official orders.

The FIA emphasized that departmental accountability aims to maintain transparency, integrity, and professional standards, and warned that strict action against officials involved in illegal activities will continue.
