JUI-F Chief Pledges Support for Balochistan’s Peace and Development

Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has assured the legal fraternity of his full cooperation in efforts to restore peace, progress, and development in Balochistan. The commitment came during a high-level meeting where both sides agreed that a democratic approach is the only viable solution to the province’s challenges.

The meeting, held at the residence of JUI-F Balochistan President Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, was attended by Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta, Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Mir Attaullah Langove, and Opposition Leader of the Balochistan Assembly Mir Younas Aziz Zehri.

Addressing Law and Order Concerns

Discussions focused on Balochistan’s deteriorating security situation, rising insurgent activities, and road closures that have severely impacted the lives of ordinary citizens. The SCBA president urged Maulana Fazlur Rehman to take the lead in uniting Balochistan’s political leaders on a single platform to find a long-term solution.

The JUI-F chief directed his party’s provincial leadership to compile a comprehensive report on the current situation. This assessment, he stated, would serve as the foundation for a peace restoration plan, which the party intends to pursue after Eid.

Call for a Democratic Resolution

Both sides emphasized that a sustainable resolution to Balochistan’s issues lies in a democratic framework. They stressed the need for inclusive dialogue, political unity, and institutional reforms to ensure lasting peace and stability.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for Balochistan’s rights and pledged to engage all stakeholders in a constructive dialogue aimed at addressing the province’s longstanding grievances.

As tensions persist in Balochistan, the outcome of these discussions could play a crucial role in shaping future peace initiatives in the province.
