Karachi Robbers Set Up Roadblock, Loot Citizens, Force Victim Into ‘Chicken’ Position

The growing lawlessness in Karachi took a disturbing turn on Tuesday morning when a group of armed robbers set up a roadblock in Rizvia, looted citizens for over 15 minutes, and subjected them to brutal torture — including forcing one victim into a humiliating “chicken position” in the middle of the road.

According to CCTV footage, four suspects arrived in an Alto car and a motorcycle, blocking the road to trap unsuspecting commuters. Their first target was two young men on a motorcycle. While the pillion rider managed to escape, the robbers seized the bike, cash, and mobile phone from the rider identified as Ali Hussain.

The footage further shows the robbers beating and humiliating Ali Hussain by forcing him into a “chicken position”, before proceeding to rob several other motorcyclists and a nearby paan shop.

Victims reported that three suspects fled in the car while one escaped on a motorcycle after the 15-minute spree of terror.

Despite frantic calls to police helpline 15 for over half an hour, no law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene during the incident, raising serious questions about the response time of Karachi Police in an area already plagued by street crimes.

Local residents expressed anger and fear, stating that robbers now operate openly and without fear of consequences. “They loot in broad daylight, torture people, and the police don’t even show up,” one resident lamented.

The brazen incident adds to the growing list of street crime cases in Karachi, where citizens are routinely targeted by armed groups amid mounting concerns over deteriorating law and order.
