KP Cabinet Formation to Be Finalized After Meeting with Imran Khan, Says CM Sohail Afridi

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Sohail Afridi has said that the final decision regarding the formation of the provincial cabinet will be taken after his meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.

Speaking informally to Geo News, CM Afridi clarified that the names of cabinet members have not yet been finalized, adding that all appointments will be made in consultation with Imran Khan.

When asked about reports suggesting the inclusion of Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif and Muzammil Aslam in the provincial cabinet, Afridi said, “The founder has not given any instructions regarding the inclusion of these two leaders.”

Commenting on speculation about a protest movement expected to begin in November, the chief minister said that his focus remains on administrative affairs, while political strategy and decisions regarding protests will be made by the party leadership and KP President Junaid Akbar.

Afridi reiterated his commitment to implementing all decisions taken by the opposition alliance and the party leadership, emphasizing that his government’s priority is to maintain effective governance in the province while following the political direction set by PTI’s central leadership.
