Major, Soldier Martyred in Mastung Op; 3 Indian-Backed Terrorists Killed

Pakistan Army security forces eliminated three terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed outfit Fitna-ul-Hindustan in Balochistan’s Mastung district. The intelligence-based operation came at the cost of two brave soldiers, including a senior officer, who embraced martyrdom during the intense gun battle.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following actionable intelligence about the presence of India-sponsored terrorists in the region. Security personnel swiftly moved to the terrorist hideout and launched a direct assault.

“Three terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network were killed during the operation,” the ISPR confirmed in an official statement.

The confrontation, however, resulted in the martyrdom of Major Ziad Saleem, a 31-year-old brave officer hailing from Khushab, and Sepoy Nazim Hussain, a courageous soldier from Jhelum, who laid down their lives while fighting valiantly.

Following the operation, a sanitization sweep was also carried out in the area to ensure that no further threat from Indian-backed terrorist elements persisted.

ISPR: Sacrifices Will Not Go in Vain

The military's media wing reiterated its determination to root out foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan, emphasizing that such sacrifices only serve to bolster national resolve.

“These acts of valor and sacrifice by our brave sons reflect the indomitable spirit of the Pakistan Army in defending the homeland from both internal and external threats,” the statement added.

Indian Involvement in Balochistan

The incident once again highlights growing concerns over India’s alleged involvement in stoking unrest and militancy in Balochistan through proxies like Fitna-ul-Hindustan. Pakistani intelligence agencies have repeatedly presented evidence of Indian support for separatist and terrorist outfits operating within its borders.

As the security forces continue their operations across restive regions, the nation mourns the loss of two heroes and stands united against any threat to its sovereignty.
