Nawaz Sharif Criticizes Elements Defaming Pakistan Abroad, Stresses on Support for Armed Forces

Nawaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), underscored the importance of supporting the armed forces and security agencies in their efforts to eradicate terrorism and maintain law and order. He expressed concern over elements within Pakistan who he believes are creating instability and tarnishing the country's reputation abroad, stating that such actions are detrimental to democracy and the welfare of the people.

 

During his meeting with parliamentary leader Irfan Siddiqui, who presented a report on the party's performance in the Senate, Nawaz Sharif highlighted the resurgence of crises that were previously resolved seven years ago. He expressed confidence in the ability of sincere and diligent leadership to overcome these challenges.

 

Reflecting on past achievements, Nawaz Sharif recalled that during his tenure, significant strides were made in overcoming issues like inflation, load shedding, and terrorism. However, he lamented that since 2018, there has been a decline in every sector, leading to renewed hardships for the public that will require considerable time to rectify.

 

Nawaz Sharif emphasized the critical link between law and order, investment, development, and prosperity, asserting that robust support for the armed forces and security agencies is essential to combat terrorism effectively. He urged parliament to play an active role in supporting these efforts.

 

In conclusion, Nawaz Sharif called for unity and concerted efforts to address Pakistan's current challenges, advocating for a cohesive approach to ensure stability and progress in the nation.
