Pakistan Warns of Stronger Response to Future Miscalculation

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a stern warning that any future miscalculation against the country will be met with a stronger and more decisive response, as he reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to defending its sovereignty.

Speaking in a message marking Marka-i-Haq, Asif said that the lessons of past conflicts remain fresh and serve as a clear reminder that miscalculations carry serious consequences. He emphasized that Pakistan’s response in any future confrontation would be more intense and resolute.

According to reports, the minister highlighted that Marka-i-Haq—the term used by Pakistan for the 2025 conflict with India—was not only a significant military episode but also a defining moment that demonstrated the country’s resolve and unity. The day commemorates the outcome of the conflict and reflects Pakistan’s preparedness to respond to aggression.

Asif also underlined that Pakistan remains committed to peace and regional stability but will not hesitate to defend its territorial integrity. He stressed that any escalation between nuclear-armed neighbors could have severe consequences, urging caution and responsible conduct.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing geopolitical developments, where Pakistan has also been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to promote dialogue and reduce conflict in the broader region.

Analysts believe such remarks signal a clear deterrence message, reinforcing Pakistan’s stance that while it seeks peaceful resolution of disputes, it remains fully prepared to respond to any threat.
