Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Türkiye following devastating floods that have caused loss of life and widespread destruction in several regions.
In his message, the Prime Minister conveyed solidarity with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the affected families, stating that Pakistan stands firmly with Türkiye in this difficult time. He also offered Pakistan’s full support for humanitarian assistance and relief operations.
The floods, triggered by severe weather conditions, have resulted in significant damage to infrastructure, homes, and livelihoods in multiple provinces of Türkiye. Rescue and relief efforts are currently underway as authorities continue to assess the scale of destruction.
Pakistan and Türkiye share long-standing fraternal ties, and both countries have consistently supported each other during natural disasters and crises in the past. The Prime Minister’s statement reflects this strong diplomatic and humanitarian relationship.
Officials noted that Pakistan is ready to provide any necessary assistance, including relief goods and emergency support, to help Türkiye recover from the disaster.
