POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday expressed deep concern over India’s recent aggressive posturing, warning that New Delhi’s actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
According to Geo News, President Zardari made the remarks during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and ensuring peace in South Asia.
The Chinese envoy reiterated Beijing’s unwavering support for Pakistan, emphasizing that China and Pakistan are "iron brothers" who have always stood by each other in times of difficulty. He said that China's position remains firm in supporting Pakistan’s sovereignty and regional stability.
President Zardari appreciated the continued support from the Chinese government and acknowledged its role in assisting Pakistan through challenging times. He also noted that recent irresponsible and aggressive statements by the Indian government were a matter of grave concern for Pakistan and the broader region.
The meeting underscores the growing strategic partnership between Islamabad and Beijing amid rising tensions in the region, particularly in the wake of India's hardened rhetoric.
This comes at a time when diplomatic maneuvering is intensifying, and both Pakistan and China appear aligned in promoting a peaceful, multipolar regional order in contrast to what they describe as India’s destabilizing approach.
