POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan emphasized that PTI will stand firm and be present everywhere to defend Pakistan against any external threats or aggression, particularly in the context of ongoing tensions with India.
Speaking to the media at the Judicial Complex, Barrister Gauhar reiterated PTI's strong stance against terrorism, condemning any form of violence and expressing concern over India’s false and baseless allegations regarding the Pahalgam incident.
PTI's Solidarity with Pakistani Forces
The PTI Chairman made it clear that PTI stands united with the Pakistani forces in the face of India’s provocations. Barrister Gauhar emphasized that Pakistan’s unity cannot be broken, stressing that PTI will continue to support Pakistan’s sovereignty and security in all circumstances. He assured the public that PTI’s commitment to the country’s defense remains unwavering.
PTI's Stance on Indus Waters Treaty and Political Briefing Boycott
Regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan reaffirmed PTI's position, stating that India’s decision to suspend the treaty is an act of war. He further advocated for a national consensus on the matter, calling for an all-party conference to discuss the treaty suspension rather than a one-sided briefing. PTI had previously boycotted the briefing given by the DG ISPR and the Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, which was attended by other political party representatives. Barrister Gauhar made it clear that PTI’s refusal to participate was based on the party’s belief that the matter required a more comprehensive and inclusive discussion.
A Unified National Response
In his address, the PTI Chairman reiterated the party’s position on national unity and standing in solidarity with Pakistan’s military and political leadership to ensure the country’s security and territorial integrity. He stressed that PTI will continue to defend Pakistan in every forum and stand against any efforts to weaken the country, especially in the face of growing tensions with India.
