Rana Sanaullah Says PTI Can Approach Court If It Lacks Confidence in PIMS

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) does not have confidence in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), it should express its concerns through the courts.

Speaking to Shahzeb Khanzada during Geo News’ programme Aaj, Rana Sanaullah said that PTI should behave like a responsible political party and present its position before the court instead of creating controversy through public statements.

“If PTI does not trust PIMS, it can go to court and state its position there,” he said.

Rana Sanaullah also rejected reports claiming that PTI was offered elections a year ago, calling such news false. He clarified that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had instead proposed a Pakistan Stability Pact during his Independence Day address.

Commenting on PTI’s political strategy, Rana Sanaullah alleged that the party had campaigned internationally, particularly in the United States, through meetings and visits. He criticised PTI’s approach, accusing the party of attempting to pressure the state through what he described as bulldozing tactics and blackmail.

“The attitude of PTI has been to bulldoze and blackmail the state,” he said, adding that such conduct was harmful to the political system.

The adviser reiterated that political disagreements should be resolved through constitutional and legal forums, stressing the importance of dialogue and lawful processes.
