SHC Issues Arrest Warrants for DG CAA Over Pension Delay

The Sindh High Court (SHC) constitutional bench has issued bailable arrest warrants against the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for failing to issue pension to a retired officer, despite repeated court directives.

The court set the bail amount at Rs 100,000 and ordered the DG CAA to be produced at the next hearing. The petitioner’s lawyer stated that the court had previously directed the Additional Director of Medical Services, Dr. Karim, to facilitate the pension issuance, but the order has not been implemented since 2022.

The SHC emphasized that the DG CAA must appear before the court during the first week of the court vacations and ensure immediate compliance with the pension orders. The bench warned that continued non-compliance would not be tolerated and strict action could follow.
