The Sindh High Court (SHC) has made a significant ruling regarding dual citizenship, highlighting the following points:

**Legal Stance:** According to the SHC, lawyers and judges are permitted to hold dual citizenship, whereas parliamentarians are not allowed.

**Petition Against Mirza Akhtar Baig:** The court heard a petition filed by citizen Pervez Ghafar against Mirza Akhtar Baig's dual citizenship. The petition was disposed of by the SHC.

**Arguments Presented:** The petitioner's lawyer argued that the Supreme Court has previously ruled that dual citizenship must be renounced before submitting nomination papers for elections. 

**Election Tribunal Involvement:** Mirza Akhtar Baig's dual citizenship issue is also under consideration in the Election Tribunal.
