POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has dismissed circulating reports about replacing Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, terming them “baseless.” The provincial coalition government, he said, will continue its work for the development and prosperity of Balochistan.
The remarks came during a meeting in Islamabad between Speaker Sadiq, CM Bugti, and PML-N parliamentary leader in the Balochistan Assembly, Mir Saleem Khan Khosa. The discussions focused on the political, social, and development situation in the province.
“Development of Balochistan is actually the development of Pakistan,” Sadiq said, welcoming major ongoing development projects in the province. He stressed that strong communication between the federation and provinces is crucial for addressing public issues.
The Speaker assured full cooperation at all levels for Balochistan, highlighting that solving the people’s problems remains a top priority. CM Bugti, in turn, paid tribute to the parliamentary leadership of the National Assembly and expressed appreciation for the support extended in the legislative process.
He further highlighted the role of the people of Balochistan and security forces in fighting terrorism, noting that the parliament remains a strong voice representing the provinces.
The meeting underscored a commitment to public welfare, federal cooperation, and continued development in Balochistan.
