COAS Asim Munir Highlights Minority Rights as Core to Pakistan’s Ideology

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, underlined the protection of minority rights as a fundamental pillar of Pakistan’s ideology during his visit to Christ Church Rawalpindi on [insert date], participating in Christmas celebrations with the Christian community.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal extended warm Christmas greetings and conveyed his best wishes for peace, harmony, and prosperity to the Christian community.

Paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his birth anniversary, Field Marshal Munir stated, “According to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam, equality, religious freedom, and constitutional values form the foundation of Pakistan. Interfaith harmony and national unity are key to the nation’s strength.”

He also recognized the longstanding contributions of the Christian community to national development and security, highlighting their service in the armed forces across generations as a “shining example of patriotism and national unity.”

The COAS reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding the equal rights of all citizens. Christian leaders at the event expressed gratitude for the visit and appreciated the role of the armed forces in maintaining harmony and protecting minority communities.
