MQM Pakistan convener, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has extended an invitation to the public and party workers to take part in the upcoming Muhajir Culture Day, set to be held on December 24 at the Governor House in Karachi. Speaking at a press conference in the city, Siddiqui emphasized the significance of the event as a celebration of Muhajir culture, urging all citizens to come together to acknowledge and appreciate the diverse cultural heritage of Karachi.

Siddiqui highlighted that Karachi has always been a city of unity, welcoming people from various backgrounds without discrimination. He reminded the audience that the founding principles of MQM were rooted in the message of mutual recognition and respect. “We should recognize each other, and celebrate our shared cultural identity,” he said, adding that the Muhajir Culture Day aims to unite people from all walks of life in a spirit of harmony.

At the same press conference, MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar also spoke in support of the event, recognizing it as a significant step toward cultural inclusivity. He noted that for the past three years, Sindhi Culture Day had been celebrated at the Governor House, and now, for the first time, the Governor of Sindh had decided to celebrate Muhajir Culture Day. "We welcome this decision and appreciate the Governor's initiative to acknowledge the Muhajir community's contributions to Pakistan," he said.

Sattar further stressed that Muhajir culture represents the values and sacrifices of the founders of Pakistan, who played a pivotal role in the creation of the country. He also mentioned that Karachi, a melting pot of various cultures, will eventually witness a blending of traditions, as all communities work together to preserve their identities while fostering a culture of openness and respect for one another.

The celebration on December 24 is expected to draw a large crowd, with many anticipating that it will be a powerful demonstration of Karachi's cultural diversity and unity. Both Siddiqui and Sattar called for the participation of all ethnicities in this important event, marking it as a vital occasion to celebrate Karachi’s cultural heritage and strengthen the bonds of community.
