Major Police Operation in Rajanpur: 33 Dacoits Surrender, 37 Hideouts Destroyed

A large-scale police operation is underway in the Katcha areas of Rajanpur, targeting notorious dacoits involved in kidnapping, robbery, and murder. During the ongoing campaign, 33 more dacoits have surrendered, bringing the total number of surrenders to 342. Authorities have also destroyed over 37 hideouts and bunkers used by the criminals.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Rajanpur Muhammad Imran, operations are actively being conducted in Katcha Imrani, Sukhani, Londkeng, Lathani, and Katcha Karachi. The operation includes drone-assisted shelling of dacoit hideouts to neutralize threats and minimize risk to law enforcement personnel.

“The dacoits who have surrendered so far were wanted in dozens of cases of kidnapping, murder, and robbery,” said DPO Imran. He emphasized that all arrested individuals will face strict legal action and that operations will continue until peace and order are fully restored in the area.

The DPO warned remaining criminals to surrender immediately, stating that those who resist will be neutralized. An intense exchange of fire has been reported between police and dacoits during the operation.

Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, along with Regional Police Officer Dera Ghazi Khan, has directed authorities to continue these operations until all criminals are apprehended, reaffirming the commitment to ensure the safety and security of the local population.
