Petition Filed in LHC Over Mother-Daughter Death in Lahore Manhole

A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against Punjab Information Minister and other relevant officers following the tragic death of a mother and daughter who fell into an open manhole near Bhati Gate.

The petition also names the Punjab government, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), and other relevant institutions as parties responsible for the incident.

According to the petitioner, leaving the manhole open in a highly populated area constitutes serious negligence, which directly led to the deaths of the mother and daughter. The petition demands that the Information Minister conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and take action against the officers involved.

The petitioner has requested the court to take appropriate remedial action for the accident and to implement effective measures to prevent such hazards in the future.
