According to security sources, a total of 59,775 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were conducted across the country in 2024. These efforts resulted in the elimination of 925 terrorists, including high-profile Khawarij and militants, and the arrest of hundreds of others.
The operations were executed with the active collaboration of the Pakistan Army, intelligence agencies, police, and law enforcement units, averaging more than 169 operations daily.
High-Profile Targets
Among the 73 most-wanted terrorists neutralized were:
- Fida-ur-Rehman alias Lal
- Ali Rehman alias Taha Swati
- Abu Yahya
Additionally, 14 wanted terrorists surrendered and joined the mainstream, renouncing violence, while the timely arrest of two suicide bombers averted major disasters.
