Pakistan Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Enthusiasm and National Pride

Pakistan is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today with a wave of patriotic fervor and national pride. The day commenced with special prayers at the Fajr prayer, seeking blessings for the country's development and unity.

A 31-gun salute was fired in the federal capital, Islamabad, while provincial capitals witnessed a 21-gun salute each, marking the significance of the day. The ceremonial events also included solemn changing of the guards at the mausoleums of national icons Allama Iqbal in Lahore and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi.

Across major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and Multan, the streets were adorned with green flags and vibrant lights, as the air was filled with celebratory songs and fireworks. The Independence Day parade at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul showcased cadets marching in unison, adding to the day’s grandeur.

The flag was proudly unfurled at midnight, accompanied by a unified rendition of the national anthem and chants of "Pakistan Zindabad" (Long Live Pakistan). The ceremonies paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom.

The day’s events reflect the deep-rooted patriotism and national spirit that binds the country together as it commemorates its journey of independence.
