Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has sent the Finance Amendment Bill 2024 to President Asif Zardari for his approval. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has already endorsed the bill, and it is anticipated that President Zardari will sign it into law today. The Financial Amendment Bill is slated to take effect from July 1, following its passage in the National Assembly with several amendments.

The bill, known formally as the Tax Laws Amendment Bill 2024, was recently passed by the National Assembly after extensive deliberations and modifications. The amendments introduced during the parliamentary sessions reflect adjustments in Pakistan's tax policies aimed at enhancing revenue generation and fiscal management.

The approval by President Zardari will finalize the legislative process, setting the stage for the implementation of revised fiscal measures outlined in the Finance Amendment Bill 2024. The bill's provisions are expected to impact various sectors of Pakistan's economy, influencing taxation policies and economic strategies moving forward.
