Riyadh, October 27, 2025 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday to represent Pakistan at the Ninth Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) being held in Riyadh.
The visit comes at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with the prime minister leading a high-level Pakistani delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and PM’s aides Tariq Fatemi and Bilal Bin Saqib, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The FII9 Summit, themed “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,” brings together global leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators to discuss opportunities in innovation, sustainability, economic inclusion, and geopolitical trends.
According to the Foreign Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz will engage with the Saudi leadership to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and human resource development. The discussions will also touch upon regional and global issues of mutual interest.
On the sidelines of the summit, the prime minister is scheduled to meet leaders of other participating nations and heads of international organisations to highlight Pakistan’s investment potential and promote collaborations aligned with the “Think, Exchange, and Act” approach for sustainable growth.
The Future Investment Initiative is regarded as one of the most influential global platforms for dialogue on economic transformation and innovation, with participation from world leaders, investors, and corporate executives shaping the global financial landscape.
