Power Outages Persist in Hyderabad Region After Storm

A powerful storm in Hyderabad and surrounding areas has left power supply disrupted for 80 feeders in the Hesco region. According to a Hesco spokesperson, the storm tripped 190 feeders, causing widespread outages and damage. Trees and signboards have fallen on power lines, further complicating restoration efforts.

Hesco has managed to restore power to several feeders, but significant challenges remain. As of the latest update, 80 feeders operating at 11,000 KV are still offline. Restoration crews are working tirelessly to address the issues caused by the storm.

In addition to the power disruptions, Thatta is facing a severe power crisis. Out of 8 feeders in the area, 7 remain shut down, exacerbating the difficulties faced by residents. Floodwaters have stagnated on roads in Kapru and Kota, with the local administration yet to take effective steps to clear the water and alleviate the situation.

The combined impact of the storm and flooding has created an emergency situation, affecting both power supply and road conditions. Hesco and local authorities are focused on resolving the issues and restoring normalcy in the affected areas.
