PTI Leader Hamid Khan Opposes Fawad Chaudhry's Return, Citing Party Loyalty Issues

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hamid Khan expressed strong opposition to the return of Fawad Chaudhry to the party, accusing him of damaging PTI's interests. Khan claimed that Chaudhry, along with Imran Ismail, had been involved in forming a separate faction within PTI aimed at undermining the party's unity.

Khan emphasized that Chaudhry had abandoned PTI during challenging times and therefore should not be allowed to rejoin. He further alleged that Chaudhry continues to make disparaging remarks against PTI at the behest of external influences.

Responding to Hamid Khan's statements, Fawad Chaudhry criticized Khan for being detrimental to PTI's prospects. Chaudhry asserted that PTI cannot thrive until it distances itself from figures like Khan, suggesting that the party requires leadership that transcends individual interests.

Regarding internal differences within PTI, Khan acknowledged typical party disagreements but denied that Umar Ayub's recent resignation from the PTI parliamentary party stemmed from such disputes.

When asked about negotiations for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, Hamid Khan commented that negotiations are futile at present as the establishment allegedly prefers Khan to remain in jail.

The rift between Hamid Khan and Fawad Chaudhry underscores ongoing challenges within PTI as it navigates internal dissent and attempts to consolidate its political position amidst broader political and governance challenges in Pakistan.
